NY Magazine Cover.

In today's lesson we had to create the front cover for our magazine. Firstly we had to sit in our groups and plan what front covers we were all going to do; we decided that we would all do our own version of the first issue of the magazine but make it so that it is a collectors edition, you need to collect all 5 for the set. 

Once  the planing was done we were taken to the ICT suit and were given a tutorial on how to use photoshop.

When the tutorial was over we were able to start making our front covers. My group and i decided that we would all use the same font for the masthead of the magazine (NY). We also decided that seeing as though it is a collectors edition that the masthead would be able to become different colours. Another thing we decided on as a group was the price the magazines would be. We came up with the price £2.50 as it is a collectors edition and if all 5 are bought that will add up to £12.50.

I decided for my cover i would put a picture of the hippies in as we were going for the theme 'Hippy-Hop'. I Also cropped a picture of Bien and Elliot for the 'Hip-Hop' side of the magazine.

Although i didn't finish my whole front cover we will be aloud to come back in our next media lesson to finish off.
